Let's Play! Water Play

Play is our brain’s favorite way of learning.

Water play:

As you are doing the dishes, let your toddler use one side of the sink. Add bubbles. Give them a whisk, a spoon, and some cups. Place some plastic animals in the water for them to wash, name, and make the animal sounds as they find them.

This activity addresses the following developmental skills: Skills: Sensory play with water and bubbles, spatial relations by pouring water in different sized containers, increasing speech and language by naming the animals and the sounds.
